So, last night I hosted an intimate bachelorette party at my place. I'm surprisingly awake this morning, so I thought I'd post some pictures of my apartment pre-party.
This is the entry to my apartment. I know the walls look like a giant bruise - I don't know what I was thinking...
mini gallery.
At the top of the stairs is a small room that was advertised as a "second bedroom"..... It's now my closet.
Then, my bedroom.
View of the living room from the bedroom.
The living room.
Ode to Diana Vreeland with a little prom for kicks.
A little reception inspiration.
More is more.
into the living room.
And, a little glimpse at my poor under loved kitchen.
post script:
I know it's a little (all right, a lot) pretentious of me to post so many pictures of my place, but I've worked hard on the little lady and like to show her off from time to time -she deserves it!

This is a really lovely place.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the brown and white rug in the livingroom?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mona. The rug is from West Elm.
ReplyDeleteScott, your apartment is absolutely beautiful. I don't think it's pretentious at all to post those photos -- you're doing the design world a service! And I personally love the "bruised" color of those walls -- I find them moody in just the right way.
ReplyDeleteLisa, a thousand thank you's! You are the sweetest to check out my blog, and to post such a lovely comment. I'm thrilled that you like my place!
ReplyDeleteO.M.G. - - - your place looks fantastic! I especially like the flanking desk/nightstands in the bedroom and I'm fascinated with the colour of the walls in your living room. I hope the dinner party was a huge success.
ReplyDeletethanks for posting such great pix!
Bedroom, living room, closet! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ur place is so cute!! I love it!
ReplyDeletei think your apartment is beautiful. i so agree with tartanscot re: the flanking desk/nightstands ... it's so smart and great-looking ... the throw on the bed is also terrific. i'm crazy about the painting on right side of the doorway in your drawing room. the mini gallery is very sharp! and the portrait of you (?) is quite wonderful.
ReplyDeletei love the crates filled with books! ... and i would kill for the lamp in the kitchen ; )
lotsa gorgeousness, scott.
Thanks to all for such encouraging comments!
ReplyDeleteI get so many comments on here, the old blog (atelier2119), and in person about the flanking bedside tables. Every other table that I tried seemed too dinky. But, the main reason for the desks is because I love to watch movies in bed, and there is enough surface to have my computer (to watch the movie - no t.v. in the bedroom) and there is room left over for books, magazines, nibbley things, and drinks!
Thanks again to all!
love! so glad you finally posted your apartment!! thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place you have. This is my first visit to your blog and I was compelled to praise your efforts and talents.
ReplyDeleteBe well and enjoy what we have left of the snow
What a beautiful place you have. I was compelled to comment/praise both your efforts and talents after my first visit.
ReplyDeleteBe well and enjoy the rest of the week.
Thank you, MsThang- I hope that you come back again! I will enjoy the snow, and hope that you do as well.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Scott....
ReplyDeleteYour home is so wonderful and timeless! It looks so chic, and very comfortable too. I'm swooning over the muted color palette and sophisticated use of patterns The thoughtful details really make your place sing—the artwork, the textiles, and lamps. I want to curl up, in any room, and read a book and have a cup of tea! I like the teak containers in your kitchen too—we had those in my kitchen growing up. Thanks for sharing all of the photos...I want to see more! Bravo!
Your home looks Gorgeous and I am in love with the Eiffel Tower lamp base.
